History buff? Is that you? Then this historic site is for you! The Shelton House dates back to the 1700s and has been restored to its former glory. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and there's even a very super-duper cool bridge at the end of the trail that's sure to add some extra photo goodies to your gallery!

Hanover Courthouse

If you're a history lover, then this courthouse should definitely be on your list of places to visit. Surviving damage from both the American Revolution and the Civil War, this courthouse has been around since the early 1740s. Today, it's used for ceremonial county occasions, meetings, and weddings. It's a popular spot for weddings and other events, so don't miss out!

Armour House & Gardens at Meadowview Park

Technically this isn't Mechanicsville, but it's right off the Creighton Road exit on Interstate 295. It counts because it's only like 12 minutes away from Target?? It's a beautiful Victorian-style home sitting around a circular scenic walking trail, a garden, a flowing fountain (not during cold months), and arbors everywhere! The Armour House and Gardens is ideal for any type of session! Small gatherings like celebrations, micro-wedding, and elopements are available for rent, but affordable!
