All The Q's
How do you photograph special moments?
I love being by your side, up close and from a distance! All of the in-betweens! You are my inspiration! I'll send you a guide if you need help organizing your day, help with some posing ideas, how to dress for the day, or how to coordinate some outfits. On picture day, I want to document the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm, the crazy and goofy moments, and ALL the details that make your photos unique. That's why I decided to photograph non-traditional, laid-back, candid-style photographs.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm in North Chesterfeild VA, it's 15 minutes outside of Richmond. And YES!! I love to travel! If you want me to photograph outside of North Chesterfield/Richmond, depending on where it takes place, I may charge a fee. It's the normal rate of $0.70 per mile.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with your photos within a maximum 12 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story).
How many pictures will we receive?
My average is about 75 photos an hour for regular & wedding day galleries. (If we have to walk or drive to different spots or locations, this may lower your image count!)
Can We Change OR Modify Our Package?
Of course, everything is customizable to you and what you need for your day.
If you need to add extra hours to your day, I'll gladly create a custom package for you.
Do you have preferred vendors?
I do!
I have people I prefer to work with and I would love to share their talents with you! Feel free to ask about them or ask about my vendor book!!
Can I add polaroids or film to my session?
YOU BET! If you want or need polaroids or film, just let me know, I got you!
Do you have a preferred payment method?
I want you feeling secure paying me, so please do what make you feel comfy! I prefer Zelle, Cashapp or Venmo because Stripe takes out hefty fees. Your remaining balance can be paid the day of in the form of check or cash as well.
Can you explain your gallery process a little better?
Sure thing! I edit all the images in a mix of color and black & white. Your gallery size will range on what I am able to capture. Once I send you the full gallery, you can just pick and download your favorites or download the entire gallery.
Do you send sneak peeks?
I typically don’t send sneak peeks — and here’s why:
I edit one gallery at a time, so my full focus and creative energy goes into your session — not split between multiple projects.
Sneak peeks make me feel like I am rushing your photos. I am not able to put the same amount of time or love into them as I do with a completed full gallery. Plus, the final gallery almost always look a tad different once I finish editing — things like warmth, exposure, and overall tone can change as I fine-tune the full set.
That said, if they are needed (for announcements, holiday cards, ect.) or I am specifically asks for sneak peeks, I’ll send around 2-10 images, but I want to make it clear that they won’t look exactly like the final gallery (though the difference isn’t huge).
All of this ensures the best possible final results of your final gallery!
What Is Wedding Guest Film?
I bring along a cute point-and-shoot film camera loaded with half-frame film for your wedding day! Instead of me photographing these moments, your guests get to take over and capture the day from their own perspective! Think candid, playful, behind-the-scenes moments! Because this is completely guest-shot, the results are part of the fun: there’s no guarantee on how each image will turn out, but that’s honestly the beauty of it. It’s nostalgic, imperfect, and full of personality. It's like seeing your day through the eyes of the people celebrating right alongside you.
